How to block your Cell Phone Number | AskStudent: "This option exists if you wish to block your cell phone number from being displayed in a caller ID for that one specific call. For example, you do not want that new crush of yours that you are trying to reach her for the nth time in a row. Also, you may want to call a local business and do not want them to know your cell phone number
For blocking your cell phone number temporarily, press *67 followed by the phone number you wish to dial. For example, if you wish to call (123) 456-7890, then to block your cell phone number, press *671234567890 to complete your call and also to block your cell phone number
Option # 2: Block your Cell Phone number permanently
Most Cell phone carriers offer a line block service. You need to call up your cell phone’s customer service and request this line block on your cell phone. This would let you block your cell phone number from being displayed on any form of caller ID permanently.
Tip: If you go ahead and do a permanent block of your cell phone number, if there is a particular instance where you wish your cell phone number to be displayed, then press *82 followed by that phone number. For example, if you wish to call (123)555-5555 then do a *821235555555.
Note: Your cell phone number will not be blocked from emergency services"
